Two new ministries, a public authority, ministerial reshuffles and promotions
Shaikh Mohammed bin Ali Al Qatabi has been appointed as the Minister of Fisheries and Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi as the Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs. Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi has been assigned chairman of the new Public Authority for Electricity and Water with the grade of an undersecretary.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries is therefore renamed the Ministry of Agriculture. The Ministry of Environment, Regional Municipalities and Water Resources becomes the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, and the Ministry of Housing, Electricity and Water is now the Ministry of Housing.
